Writing is Inspiring

Sharing is caring

Posted by: D.Ayu on: September 30, 2009

What if your children ask you to join them browsing cartoon anime or play game with them? Would you agree? Or might you just ignore them for the matter that has no link to you at all or there’s no intention at all in your heart for such things?

I try to be with my children in almost all their activities though impossible to fully join them. The reason is parents’ attendance is a part of support to their children. With the support, the children will be easier to learn because they feel their parents’ care and love by sharing activities with them.

After accompanying my daughter browsing cartoon anime through internet, my daughter presented this cute picture to me as a gift.

What does it mean? Isn’t it a sign that she notices my caring towards her by sharing something with her?

A 100-year-old lady inspires

Posted by: D.Ayu on: September 28, 2009

I was reading the New Straits Times on Saturday 26, 2009, when my eyes caught a line of  She’s still on the job at 100. Immediately my eyes turn to take a glance to a picture of an old lady with grey hair wearing a glass  but still looks elegant. To fulfill my eagerness to get to know her, I kept on reading it.

Astrid2She is Astrid Thoenig who reaches her hundredth of age on 24th of September, works loyally with a company for the role of answering phone calls, keeping financial records, handling payroll and typing documents for more than thirty years. She must be enjoyed doing such things even though in her retiring golden age. Surprisingly she doesn’t feel old and even think old as commented in the newspaper. This may be the secret of her long life and never bored at work. Furthermore, she loves to work alongside her son, John Thornton, in the family-owned insurance company.

Inevitably these two elements of always thinking young and being happy with family make her sticks to her job. In fact, it’s not really job for her but hobby and passion to live happily with her job and family. Happy birthday Thoenig, may God bless you.

Thoenig’s story inspires me for possibilities  I could do at any time regardless of ages. It is said that one should work as if he will live forever and when it comes to  prayer he performs it as if he will die tomorrow. When as aged as Thoenig could do, what will be the reason for me to say no? I take a deep breath…

Nice net meeting

Today I am happy for receiving a response from a freelance writer, Laurie PK, about the possibility  to have online writing group, in her blog. Hers contains a lot of useful articles that could be refered for writers or writers-to-be. She herself is very helpful and responsive to any questions arise to her. Thank you, Laurie. It’s nice meeting you though via internet.

Two days ago I found a blog belongs to Fatimi Estar, an old friend of mine. She has capability for writing and her pieces of writing impress me very much. Furthermore, she is an English teacher with love and passion to write. Hope I can share something with her someday. Her blog inspires me to write. Thanks Fatimi.

A dream to write…

Posted by: D.Ayu on: September 23, 2009

I have always dreamt of having a published piece of writing. I could imagine how happy I will be  to see my name be printed in a published article. However I don’t know when  my dream will comes true.

Since writing is not easy to do especially for published writing, I notice that at the moment I need to polish everything that related to writing stuff. It seems like writing has been so far away from me though my heart is still there to write. When I was young, I loved to write. Then, my writing activity took a break for quite some times to let my job took its place. I did videography and any stuff related to multimedia work for my company. I enjoyed them very much. But I could not deny the hunger of pouring  inner whispers into words is still too much force inside me. There’s where I tap the keyboard for wording expression whenever I don’t have video editing to do.

By blogging I hope it could brings me to where I should go in the writing direction, repolish the latent talent, if there it is, and fulfill my dream to write. At least my name is being printed for each entry I post. Hmm.
